CHECK YOUR PRESSURES
All cars have a recommended tyre pressure which can typically be found on the door shut or the inside of the driver’s door. These figures vary depending on weight carried by the car.
Under inflated tyres can cause an increase in fuel consumption and tyre wear. Over inflated give you a really uncomfortable experience and wear tyres in the centre.
TYRE THREAD
The legal tyre tread depth for cars in the UK is 1.6mm across the centre. The tread must meet this minimum requirement across its complete circumference. Failure to do so could result in a penalty of upto £2500 and/or 3 points per tyre!
